Environmental Engineering

rcs environmentalBy applying scientific knowledge and engineering principles, RCS professionals are able to help improve environmental conditions by ensuring healthy water, air, and land for both habitation and conservation, as well as remediating polluted sites.
RCS provides a full spectrum of environmental services, including design and permitting of effluent disposal and reuse systems, water supply, and stormwater treatment systems. RCS has designed specialized monitoring stations for applications including hazardous waste, leachate, weather, surface water, groundwater, air, and soil monitoring. The design of many of these systems included specialized electronic control systems and SCADA, allowing for continuous and/or remote control of the systems.
Over the past 17 years, RCS team members have worked closely with Central Florida Utilities in planning for their current and future effluent disposal/reuse needs. RCS professionals have also assisted in the design of innovative, effluent disposal projects, such as the design of Rapid Infiltration Basins within golf course communities. RCS has assisted numerous clients in determining their water demands, providing permitting assistance, and modeling in support of consumptive use permit applications. As part of the Everglades Restoration Act, RCS has designed and implemented stormwater treatment systems for cost-effective, nutrient reduction of runoff.
